This abnormal condition, called a vertebral subluxation, disrupts the nerves that run through your spine. Just as a “dead spot” in your cell phone coverage gives you static when you are talking on your phone, a subluxation creates a bad connection between your brain and body. These faulty signals result in loss of function, and ultimately, pain and disease.

Chiropractic is the science of locating these areas of spinal malfunction and the art of correcting them to allow the body to function at its best. Instead of treating symptoms, at Oakbridge Chiropractic we detect, correct, and prevent vertebral subluxation. We use the Blair Chiropractic Technique because it offers the most effective method for finding and correcting subluxations.

At Oakbridge Chiropractic, we use computerized paraspinal thermal imaging to evaluate the function of your nervous system. Paraspinal thermal imaging is a safe, painless, and reliable diagnostic test that measures the infrared heat emitted from the body's surface and  reflects how the nervous system is functioning.

Patients at Oakbridge Chiropractic are able to see objective evidence of their improvement.  The scan on the left is from before an adjustment; the red and orange bars show temperature differences associated with poor nervous system function.  The scan on the right from after the adjustment shows a dramatic improvement.

Debbie Smith, nursing supervisor, 42 – Back and neck pain
“Before coming to Dr. Brown [Hooper], my health was good in general.  I did have frequent back and neck discomfort.  I took Advil several times a week, progressing to Naprosyn.  I did not seem to be able to handle stress as well.  I began having GI symptoms (reflux and heartburn.)  Since receiving care from Dr. Brown [Hooper], I have noticed a dramatic improvement in my overall health.  I rarely need Advil.  I feel better, healthier.  I haven’t suffered from an illness in over a year!  My body is more responsive; I am very aware of symptoms which indicate I need an adjustment (limited range of motion.)  My energy flow is improved, especially since I’ve added monthly massage to my wellness routine.  My body is a very sensitive, complicated “machine” which benefits dramatically from the chiropractic “tune-ups” I receive from Dr. Brown [Hooper].”

About Chiropractic

Your nervous system, consisting of the brain, spinal cord and nerves, controls the function of every cell, tissue and organ in your body. The skull protects the brain, but everyday activity can cause the vertebrae covering the spinal cord to lose their normal position.
